Karim Elgewaily and Mohamed Merdash won the men's and juniors' titles in the E-Zone Open Bowling Tournament at E-Zone bowling center in one of the biggest malls in the Middle East, City Stars in Cairo, Egypt. The top 12 from the qualifying bowled 12 games to determine the top 3 players for the stepladder finals. In the men's division, Belal Abdo, seeded third, fell to one of the tournament organizers, No. 2 seed Karim Elgewaily, 190-174. Elgewaily carried the momentum in the title match against tournament leader Sheriff Abdl Moneam and secured the title with a 232-170 victory.
